Emilee Alexander Bowden

Emilee (Alexander) Bowden began her dance training in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the age of 9, she was selected to be a part of Grand Rapids Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker” and again when she was 11. She has also participated in other productions with Michigan Ballet Academy and Long Beach Ballet, where she trained for a semester. In 2016, Emilee was selected by David Wilcox to be a part of the Ballet Ambassadors to China program. She had the chance to perform various repertoires, set by several choreographers, all over China. To further her training, she attended dance intensives with Ballet Magnificat!, Long Beach Ballet, Ad Deum and Joffrey Ballet School’s Summer Intensive on scholarship.

Emilee moved to Connecticut in 2017 to join Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet as a Trainee in 2017, she was promoted to Apprentice I in 2018, and to Apprentice II in 2019. Through Ekklesia Emilee had the opportunity to perform all over, including at the Dumbo Dance Festival in Brooklyn, Project Dance New York, and at Duke University in Durham, NC.

Emilee is currently a company dancer with Ballet Theatre Company in West Hartford and is also a guest dancer with Dimensional Dance located in Hartford. She currently resides in Deep River with her husband, Hunter and when she’s not dancing or teaching dance she likes cooking Italian food, reading books of all kinds, and long walks!
