K.T. Nelson-Hart

Katharine “K.T.” Nelson-Hart began dancing at the relatively “late” age of thirteen. She instantly fell in love with dance, and felt that it really rounded out her musical theatre interests. Always needing something to keep her feel moving and her mind busy, KT agreed to attend an audition for the competitive dance team at her home studio (Elite Dance Academy, Inc.) and was immersed in dance classes ranging from ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary/lyrical, hip hop, tap, and character dance. She was awarded a full scholarship to Southern Union State Community College, and dove head first into not only choreography and stage work, but also performing arts education itself. Soon after completing her AS, KT moved to Virginia Beach, where she danced with Lakewood Ballet Company and Todd Rosenlieb Dance Ensemble while also performing with multiple theatre companies to keep learning.  KT also began working for StarQuest Dance Competition, International, as well as Impact Dance Adjudicators, as a competition judge and master teacher. KT holds a BFA in Dance and Theatre Arts and her BS in Business Administration from SUNY Empire State College.
